English info

“Global Music” (formerly “Weltmusik-Magazin”) is an independent german online music magazine, nearly without any stilistic* and regional restrictions. We are people with open minds and a 360-degree taste. Our goal is, to provide an undogmatic view to the international music scene. Our magazine is online since 07/2007.

At irregular intervals, we present CDs with so-called modern classical music. We take into account compositions from the 20th and 21st century.

*Exceptions: Rap, esotericism, german “Schlager”, fascistic music and the like

Statistics (as at Sept. 30th, 2016)

Our website is online since July 2007. Except for the first three months (July, Aug., Sept. 2007) all accesses on our domain were counted. From Oct. 2007 until Sept. 2016 (including) 9,927,166 times an article was read on our website (average 91,075 times per month – statistics were provided by our web hoster). We must admit, that we are very surprised by the high number.

Album promotion

Please be invited to send promo-material, but we do not promise to review it. We need the album as mp3 files or a physical copy. A download should be available for a longer time than only a few days. We do ignore stream-only samples.

The most important things, we need for a review (please also read our tips for a *perfect* EPK here):

  • The album as mp3 files
  • The cover of the album (at least 500 x 500 px)
  • Two or more unrestricted useable artist photos (please not too small, don’t forget to indicate the credits)
  • The following obligatory infos:
